Adding new blocks to Scratch: Part 1: Adding the Obsolete blocks.

This only works in Scratch 1.4 and below. Also, the obsolete blocks will not work online: if you add them to a project, and upload it to the scratch website, the block won’t do anything when someone tries to run it online. To fix this, the user must download the project. Any blocks YOU make will not work on another computer. IF DONE INCORRECTLY, YOU MAY DAMAGE YOUR COPY OF SCRTACH, FORCING YOU TO RE-DOWNLOAD IT, SO DON’T MUCK ABOUT.Thinking smile


Did you know that you can add your own blocks to Scratch? For a long time I didn’t! The first time I tried in fact, I messed it up and had to re-install Scratch. I still wanted to learn though, so I did learn and now I make all sorts odd blocks.

Today, I will teach you how to add the Obsolete “Stretch” blocks. After you know how to do this, we can start on making your own blocks.
